Is the suggested age a strict requirement, or can younger people still participate?
The suggested age is just that—suggested! While it can serve as a guideline, younger participants can certainly take part with some assistance. Everyone is different, so it’s important to consider individual abilities rather than strictly adhering to the age recommendation! PS our kits are fun for adults too!!
Don’t be deterred by the age suggestion—if it looks like fun, go for it and give it a try!
Is the clay food safe?
No! Please do not eat or drink out of any of your clay creations.
How do I bake my polymer clay?
1. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
2. Bake at 275º for 10–15 minutes, depending on the size of your pieces.
3. Do not exceed baking temperatures, as polymer clay can burn.
4. Baking your clay creations should always be accompanied by an adult.
Can I microwave my polymer clay?
NO! Do not put it in the microwave. Trust us.
Do I have to bake my polymer clay?
No! If you don’t want to bake them, don’t. Polymer clay is oil-based and will never dry out. Build and rebuild as much as your heart desires!
Do I have to varnish my cutie patootie foodies?
Only if you want them to look all cool and shiny! If you do choose to varnish your pieces, make sure not to paint varnish where your magnet will be glued. Even better: Glue your magnets before you varnish them. That’ll make things easy.
Do I have to make food out of this?
Nope, choose your own adventure, and make whatever your creative heart yearns for.
