Inspired by the famous glass artist Dale Chihuly, this project is a fun way to explore the outer boundaries of your imagination. No need to follow the rules — just make the shapes you love and bake ‘em to shape ‘em however you want!

Is the suggested age a strict requirement, or can younger people still participate?

The suggested age is just that—suggested! While it can serve as a guideline, younger participants can certainly take part with some assistance. Everyone is different, so it’s important to consider individual abilities rather than strictly adhering to the age recommendation! PS our kits are fun for adults too!!

Don’t be deterred by the age suggestion—if it looks like fun, go for it and give it a try!

How do I bake my pieces?

1. You can use a toaster oven or oven. No kiln required!

2. Place pieces on a lined baking sheet and set the temperature to 275º.

3. Depending on the size, it can take 20–45 seconds for your piece to start to curl to perfection.

4. Grab a pair of tongs to be able to grab your pieces as soon as they begin to curl.

Can I reshape my pieces once they harden?

No, go with the flow. In the words of Bruce Li: Be like water, my friend.

Can I microwave my pieces?

No! Only use an oven or toaster oven!

Do I need to let my paint pen design dry before baking?

Yes! Be patient.

How big should I cut my pieces?

Cut a variety of shapes and sizes — the more wild, the better! It’s all up to you.

Are the glue dots permanent?

No! You can build and rebuild your acrylic sculpture as many times as you’d like.
